How are the FOI Acts really performing across the UK public sector? Our State of FOI 2026 survey is now open, and we want to hear from the practitioners who work with FOI every day.
This is the third time we have run the research, so this year’s results will show how FOI has shifted over time. Alongside our core questions, the 2026 survey explores three current pressures: the rise of AI-generated requests, growing request complexity and internal reviews, and whether FOI teams have the senior support and legislation they need.
Supporting Transparency in the UK
The survey takes 5 to 10 minutes. For every completed response, eCase will donate £10, split equally between the Campaign for Freedom of Information and the Campaign for Freedom of Information in Scotland. Every contributor will also receive a free copy of the report once it is published.
